Lenovo Phab 2 Pro, world’s first Tango-enabled smartphone, after going through a number of leaks and rumours went live in the US market for $499. Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is currently tipped on the official website of Lenovo for the US together with the option for ‘add to cart. While earlier, it was listed with the slogan of “coming soon,” now is clearly visible with the option to buying on the website. With the starting price of $499.99 (around Rs 33,354), Lenovo promised to deliver the phone within 4-5 weeks of purchase.

To summon up, the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is the world’s first smartphone to be enriched with Google’s Tango technology. The enriched Tango technology enables the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro to deliver the high-end Augmented Reality (AR) experiences to the users and allow them to interrelate with it virtually through the practice of AR. At the event of Tech World, a function hosted by Lenovo in San Francisco in June, the phone was first introduced and since then kept on taking the market by storm. The inbuilt AR technology makes Lenovo Phab 2 Pro more compatible ad enjoyable for gaming and utilities. With Phab 2 Pro and fabulous AR technology, Lenovo claims to give the users options to explore more. The phone also sports AR and VR sensors for monitoring and mapping the nearby locations. Google’s Tango Technology also enables the users to gauge the size of objects in their home or room by using the camera of Phab 2 Pro.

In terms of specification, Lenovo Phab 2 Pro sports a 6.4-inch QHD IPS display mated on 1440 x 2560 pixels display resolutions. Measuring 179.8 x 88.6 x 10.7 mm and weighing 259 g, Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB internal memory with the expandable option up to 256GB. Backed by a 4050mAh battery, Lenovo Phab 2 Pro also features Dolby Audio Capture 5.1 for enhancing sound quality.

In optical part, the phone accommodates four cameras. An 8-megapixel camera is placed at the front, while the rear section has a 16-megapixel snapper. Along with these two, a depth-sensing infrared shooter with an image plus an emitter, and a motion tracking camera are also integrated with the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro. With a fingerprint scanner at its rear, this high-end smartphone includes an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass in sensor part. On the software front, the phone runs on Android OS, v6.0 (Marshmallow) OS. Apart from 4G support, the connectivity part of the phone also houses Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0, A2DP, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, FM radio, and microUSB v2.0.

Priced at $499.99 (around Rs 33,354), Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is now available at US market only and will hit the international market soon.
