The Taiwanese smartphone company, HTC has silently announced a new variant of the One M9 smartphone, which is the flagship device of the year 2015, in Europe. The recently launched smartphone is dubbed as HTC One M9 Prime Camera Edition and listed on the official German site of the company.
The handset comes in single-tone Gunmetal Grey and Gold color variants, same as the HTC One M9. It also flaunts robust full metal body.
According to a report, the HTC One M9 Prime Camera Edition is available in contract at around EUR 22.70 (~Rs. 1,700) per month for a duration of 24 months.
The smartphone is fronted with dual Digital Dolby speakers that provide surround sound experience to the user; and a 5-inch super-LCD with 1920×1080 of resolution.
The smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7 supported by a 2.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 that is coupled with a 2GB of RAM.

Though this is the dubbed as camera edition, but the company has downgraded its primary camera. The HTC One M9 Camera Edition is featured with a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS, dual-LED flash, and 4K video recording, while, the HTC One M9 boasts 20-megapixel of primary camera with LED flash, sapphire cover and f/2.2, 27.8mm lens.
However, the secondary camera remains unchanged. The HTC 4.0 UltraPixel user-facing camera, which is placed up front, is ideal for selfie obsessed users.
Under the hood, HTC has provided 16GB of internal storage to the device with expandability option via microSD card, up to 2TB. The droidphone is fueled with a 2840m mAh of lithium ion battery. It measures 144.6×69.7×9.61mm and weighs 158 grams.
On connectivity front the smartphone comes with Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, Glonass, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and LTE.
