Android Nougat expects to come on smartphones after the Google final release

Soon after Google unveiled the nickname of next Android flavour, the smartphone making companies has started revealing that which of their handsets will be first to get the OTA update as soon it will roll out for the end user.

The next operating system by Google dubbed as Android 7 will be called as Android Nougat, the Android team revealed via its Twitter handle.

The Android 7 Nougat will bring new features such as split-screen multitasking, an improved notification shade and Daydream, Google’s new virtual reality platform. However, many features will be disclosed in its final release in the third quarter of 2016.

It is uncertain that the devices mentioned by the manufacturers to get the latest update will officially push the updates. Let’s check out what all devices will get the firmware update :-

Nexus smartphones to get Android 7.0 Nougat:

As first predicted that the Nexus devices would be the first one to get the upcoming update. However, not all the devices will allow receiving the update. As confirmed by the Google, Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X will able to taste the flavour and the devices are expected to get update notifications by upcoming year. The Nexus 9 and Nexus 6 will receive the updates by October 2016. So there are modifications that Android N is the last update from Google to these smartphone consumers.

Motorola smartphones Android Nougat Update:

The brand which comes next to Nexus is Lenovo-owned Motorola, which is known to offer latest Android updates to its users. The firm along with other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) have a deal with Google, under which the tech giant has to give the firmware update to their mentioned devices for a minimum 18 months. So, if one own a smartphone from Moto X, Moto G, Moto Z series then it will apparently sure to receive an OTA update.

Samsung devices will have a taste Nougat flavour:

Though late, the world’s top smartphone seller Samsung will also expectedly roll out the updates soon after above-mentioned handsets. Assuming the same, users can wish Samsung to reveal software for the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S7, Galaxy Note 5 and other high-end devices. But don’t expect that the update will arrive before six months from the Google’s final release.

Huawei and LG smartphones to get OTA Android Nougat update

Huawei’s Mate lineups are also expected to get the update by the end of this year. The smartphones to get an update is expected to be Huawei P9 and Mate 8, which will be able to taste the update by December this year.

Meanwhile, LGrecentlynly launched devices including LG G5 are expected to receive the Android Nougat update by December 2016. The comapny seems to be pretty fast in releasing the updates and security patches to its consumers.

HTC smartphones agreed to get Android N update:

HTC has also reportedly made a list of the smartphones that will be launched in the market with this new Android update out-of-the-box. In additon, the company tweeted that its high-end headsets like HTC 10, HTC One A9 and HTC One M9 which would probablt get the latest update of the Android. The users owning above-mentioned devices are likely to get an over-the-air update as soon as Google unveils the final version, somewhere between July-September.
