Gionee has silently launched its Gionee Marathon M5 Lite smartphone in China. The handset has been spotted on its official web portal with a price tag of CNY 999(~Rs. 10,000). The company has launched its Marathon M5 smartphone last month and it is about to announce the bumped version of the smartphone on December 21.
Falling lights on the specifications of all new Gionee Marathon M5 Lite smartphone, it flaunts a 5-inch HD 720p IPS display that offers a pixel density of 293 ppi. Running on Amigo 3.0 based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, the handset is powered by 1.3GHz 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC, clubbed with 1GB RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. In addition, Gionee has provided 16GB of internal storage to the device with an expandability option up to 128GB by using a microSD card.
On the photography front, the Gionee Marathon M5 Lite is baked with an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with CMOS sensor and LED flash, while, it also features an and a 5-megapixel front camera that could be used to click decent selfies. It is fueled with a 4000mAh Li-Po battery, which is claimed to deliver up to 40 hours of talk time, 68 hours of music playback, 3 days of standard usage and 39 days of standby time. The smartphone can be used as a power bank to charge other smartphones as well.
On connectivity front, the smartphone includes Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, and MicroUSB connectivity. It comes with an ambient light sensor, gravity sensor, and proximity sensors. In addition to it, the company claims that the smartphone is made of aviation-grade aluminum alloy. There’s no word yet on India price or availability.
