Darren Bridges from Sucker Punch said, “Legends is an entirely new experience. It’s a separate mode that doesn’t follow Jin or the companions from his journey. Instead it focuses on four warriors who have been built up as legends in stories told by the people of Tsushima.” He said that unlike Ghost of Tsushima, Legends is haunting. The locations and enemies are inspired by Japanese folk tales and mythology. Also, Legends emphasizes on co-operative combat and action.

The development of Legends was announced in August 2020 and is scheduled to release by the end of this year.
