The demands for smart wearable like smartwatch and fitness trackers are soaring gradually, making a number of brands shifting their focus from simple smartphone manufacturing to the designing of other smart and super gadgets. India, being the most rapidly developing market for smart gadgets has been witnessing the arrival of a number of smart devices from watches and mobiles to fitness trackers and headphones and this time is no different. Fossil Group, the international luxury accessory maker, has launched a cluster of smart wearable in India, making the existing portfolio of smart gadgets of the country more enriched and influential.
Fossil Group is the parental company of 6 giant and topmost luxury brands like Fossil Q, Michael Kors Connected, Skagen Connected, Chaps, Emporio Armani and Misfit. With the launch of this new smart wearable line-up, the conglomerate organization made its debut in the Indian smart wearable segment on Wednesday.
The listings of new releases by Fossil Group counts eight smart devices including two Fossil Q smartwatches, two Skagen commodities, two Misfit fitness tracker, the Michael Kors smartwatch and the Emporio Armani wearable which accompanies a cluster of variants. In the line-up of smartwatches, Fossil introduces two watches for men and women.
The Fossil Q Marshal is specifically designed for men, while the Q Wander is supposed for ladies. Both of the smartwatches are spherical in outline and sport the forever on display screen. Encompassing a 1.4-inch LED touch screen mated with 320 x 290 pixels to display resolution, both watches feature 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage in memory part. While the men’s version watch will be available in three colour variants like Silver, Black and Dark Brown, the Fossil Q Wander, alternatively, packs three different shades like Steel, Light Brown and Rose Gold options.
In terms of price details, Fossil Q Marshal is tagged with Rs. 21,995, while the price range of women’s watch varies in terms of colours. The Silver and the Black variant of women’s watch is priced at Rs. 21,995, while the latter one is tagged with Rs. 22,995. The pre-orders for both smartwatches are slated to commence on 8th October, exclusively on Flipkart.
Rolling over to other products, Fossil also launched two Misfit fitness trackers, named as Misfit Shine 2 and Misfit Ray. Both fitness trackers are tagged with the price range of Rs. 7,495 for the Indian market. On the other hand, Michael Kors Access smartwatch will be available in two variants like Bradshaw Access and Dylan Access and are priced at Rs. 25,995.
Similarly, the exact price range of Skagen Hagen Connected hybrid smartwatch and the Skagen Connected fitness tracker are yet uncertain. But if we go with the buzzes, both will range from Rs. 14,295 to Rs. 15,495 in the country. In addition to this, the last product – Emporio Armani wearable will be available in 4 variants like Rose Gold, Black, Gunmetal and Stainless Steel and the price range will go from Rs. 17,495 to Rs. 27,995.
