As the Post-demonetization market settles down a bit, Maruti Suzuki has finally launched one of its most awaited hatchback Baleno RS on Wednesday. The car is one of the most awaited for so many reasons. First and foremost being the fact that 2017, as predicted by automobile gurus, would be all about hatchbacks and crossovers. As the drive rolled out by various automakers get faster, more powerful and more technologically upgrades, market trends have suggested that these are not the only factors that would help an automaker to register a double-digit market share. Especially in the case of India, Fuel efficiency and a balance between the price and the features of the car is one of the areas where even the big players fail to cash on.
The new Baleno RS by the Indo-Japanese car maker, Maruti Suzuki would be a huge hit among the masses for so many reasons. The car dubbed as a premium hatchback among the buyers comes with the most superior looks in the entire segment. Even after being marketed as a hatchback, the sporty yet minimalistic look of the deck in all-black with a bit of aluminum accentuating the interiors is one of the coolest designs in this segment. The exterior design hasn’t seen much change except for the front grille and a sportier front and rear bumper.
Having a close competition with cars like Volkswagen Polo GT TSI, Ford Figo 1.5, etc.cylinder, Baleno is expected to bring its A-game to the forefront. Powered by a 3-cylinders turbocharged booster jet petrol engine, it can churn out an easy 101 horses with 150 Nm torque. Even though the engine may not be termed as the USP of the vehicle, it is the overall handling and driving experience of the car and features like dual front airbags Android Auto connectivity etc. which would be a major reason for its popularity. It can give a mileage of 22 to 25kmpl, which is pretty standard for the cars in this segment.
