Designated Survivor season 4: Everything you need to know

After season 3 of Designated Survivor, fans have been eagerly asking to see President Tom Kirkman once again on the screen. However, we have bad news as the show has ended with season 3. The reason is that the ending was justified and did not end with any suspense. Netflix has taken over the show because of its large viewership.  It was aired in ABC before that.

The show first premiered on September 21, 2016. Following this season 2 of Designated Survivor was released on May 11, 2017. David Guggenheim is the creator of this show. The show has completed 3 seasons with a total of 53 episodes. The original language of the show is English. The first season of the show was released to 10 million viewers and received positive feedback from its audience.

Plot

Designated Survivor follows the story of Tom Kirkman who was a cabinet minister. During the State of Union where he was going to be appointed as the Designated Survivor, a bomb attack takes place killing the president and other members sparing Tom’s life. This led to him being the next President. The story continues by showing his struggles to carry this new role that he has been assigned. He tries his best to keep the country along with his family from falling apart. Along with this, he goes to find out about the person behind the attack. This show is a mix of political drama and crime thriller.

Season 2 saw President Tom Kirkman having a rough year with his wife’s death and being at the verge of impeachment and also having to choose between parties. The show ended with him deciding to stand independent for the election and serve his citizens right.

Season 3 shows him being re-elected and the problems that come along the way. It ends in a justified manner and so there is no renewal of the show for another season.
