Is Dark Energy real??? Contradiction of a Nobel Prize Winning Theory

Our universe is as amazing as any one of us could imagine. The traditional theories related to the origin and the present events occurring with the cosmos have been challenged consistently over the years. Though many attempts to contradict the existing norms of Physics as applicable in the context of our universe have failed, many others have created opportunities for future research. Recently, the works of an Indian-origin scientist have indicated that the supposed acceleration of the universe’s expansion is a myth and said that the dark energy does not subjugate cosmos.

A study led and drove by an Indian-starting point scientist has raised a genuine doubt on Nobel Prize winning disclosure of Dark Energy by which the universe is believed to expand. As said by the new study reports, the world is developing at a consistent rate and is not commanded by “Dark Energy,” which gives occasion to feel qualms about the Nobel Prize winning revelation which said that the cosmos is going through accelerating expansion.

In 2011, a trio of astronomers won the prestigious Nobel Prize in the category of Physics for their theory of “Dark Energy.” Their revealed theory said that the Universe was not just intensifying but getting bigger at an accelerating rate. And this hypothesis led to the assumption of a mysterious force called “Dark Energy,” which said to be the primary cause of the accelerating movement of the universe. But now, the newly conducted study has found the previous theory false and stated that universe is expanding at an average rate, no in an accelerated pace.

The previous theory of Physics was found by a trio of cosmologist including Saul Perlmutter from the University of California, Berkeley; Adam Riess from Johns Hopkins University; and Brian Schmidt from the Australian National University. The theory of accelerating universe was based on the examination of Type Ia supernovae, which is the spectacular thermonuclear flare-up of failing stars lifted up by the Hubble Space Telescope and large ground-based telescopes.

The conclusion of the study led to the acceptance of the hypothesis that the universe is conquered by a strange force called ‘dark energy’ and alleged it to be the primary cause of the accelerating expansion of the cosmos. But the recently held study by Scientist Subir Sarkar of Oxford University in the UK and team have has proved this standard cosmological concept of physics wrong and radiate qualm on the progress of the earth.

According to the lead author of the study Sarkar, in the research, a number of the analytical models have been applied to the 740 Type Ia supernovae that have been recognized for years. He further added that his with the use of advanced analytical model have been able to find the subtle dissimilarities between the previous concept and the recent one. The statistical methods employed by the first team were one-dimensional, and were designed with an old module developed in the 1930s, which can’t be applied to the emergent supernova dataset of the current time, Sarkar added.

He further said that Dark energy isn’t directly affecting the growth of the universe, but it is circuitously distressing the cosmic microwave background.

  • Astrophysical “theories” increasingly seem to be nothing more than hypotheses to be verified by advanced methods. The question that Nobel Awards Committee should examine is whether they have been giving away awards to persons for their “hypotheses” or verified and confirmed findings. If latter, the Committee cannot avoid the accusation of being hasty and wrong for giving away the awards cheap.
