For months, an Alabama lady struggled with unexplained pain in the abdomen, swelling, and persistent weight gain. It was also getting impossible for her to shed the extra amount of pounds she was packing up. People also started asking her if she was conceiving a baby or perhaps twins.
Kayla Rahn said in a statement, “I had been trying to lose weight for about a year, but I was gaining weight.” Further, she added, “We went to dinner, and someone asked me if I was having twins, walking out. It was frustrating and rough.”
Initially, Rahn was told by the doctors to try and lose weight and only losing the extra pounds could cure her and stop the health issues she was facing. But all the efforts that Rahn put forth to shed her weight, went in vain and got her no fruit.
When the condition of Rahn became serious in the month of May, she was taken to Jackson Hospital. According to the reports, a mysterious substance was responsible for all these unexplained health issues. The reports produced after a range of medical tests said that a huge cyst was present in her ovary.
During the process of the surgery, the doctors withdrew a cyst of fifty pounds from Rahn’s ovary. Dr. Gregory Jones said in a statement, “The technical diagnosis, it was a mucinous cystadenoma.” Further, he explained, “It is a benign condition.” Jones said that he has seen similar conditions previously but the cyst’s size, in this case, surprised him. Shockingly enough, Jones said, “This is one of the largest I have ever seen or certainly removed.”
Rahn’s surgery was overall successful. Jones said, “We are very excited things went well for her.” Rahn is happy that a massive burden was removed and she could get back to lead a normal life and could wear the dresses that she could not after she started gaining weight tremendously.
Now Rahn is reportedly urging the other people suffering from similar conditions of unexplained pain and weight gain to visit doctors and push them to answer their problems. She said that people suffering from such health issues should stand up for themselves.
