The Chinese smartphone maker, Coolpad is about to launch two new smartphones – Note 3S and Mega 3 in India on November 30. The company has sent out media invites for the launch event, however, it doesn’t reveal much about the phones.
It is expected that both of the handsets will be 4G VoLTE supported and will come under budget segment, which might be sold at Amazon India.
Coming to the specs, the Coolpad Note 3S is rumoured to boast a 5.5 inch HD display and featured with a 5-megapixel of selfie shooter which will be coupled with a 13-megapixel of primary image snapping tool, placed on the back panel of the phone with a slight bump like iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
The earlier speculations also suggested that the handset will be running on Android 5.1 Lollipop with CoolUI 6.0 layered atop, which will be powered by a pair of MediaTek MT6753 octa-core 64-bit processor and 3GB RAM. It is also said that the Note 3 will be fueled with a 3000mAh of battery.
In addition, the Coolpad Mega 3 is also expected to come with a similar 5.5 HD display, while it will differ in terms of photography as it might sport an 8-megapixel of rear camera and the same 8-megapixel of secondary camera at the front. Reports also suggested that the smartphone will be powered by a 1GHz MediaTek MT67355P 64-bit quad-core chipset bundled with Mali T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
On the storage front, both of the smartphones are said to be featured with a 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card support. Also, they are likely to support dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
As earlier stated that the smartphones will be launched in budget segment and by looking at the rumoured specs, it is assumed that the Coolpad will unveil the handset under Rs. 10,000 sub-category which makes them to compete with Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime, LeEco Le1S, and Lenovo K5 Plus.
