Bollywood looses one of its diamonds Om Puri

Padma Shri award winner Mr. Om Puri passed away on 6th January 2017. Reportedly on Thursday Om Puri returned home at  Lokhandwala’s  Oak Land Park Residence from his daily shoot but his doorbell on Friday morning goes unanswerable. It is said that he passed away from the Fatality of heart attack and leave the sorrow behind.

But it is not only us feeling downcast, the whole industry is in deep down sorrow of losing its precious gem.

Om Puri started his career from a Marathi film- Ghashiram Kotwal in 1976. And get paid peanuts for his best work, but this was the start of his golden journey in Bollywood. He acted in many films like Aakrosh, Gandhi, Arohan, Ardh Satya, Jaane bhi do yaaro and many more.

He also acted in many Hollywood movies, Punjabi movies, Pakistani movies and series of Television.

He also won Filmfare Best Supporting Actor award for Aakrosh in 1981; National Film Best Actor Award for Arohan in 1981 and Ardh Satya in 1983; Padma Shri in 1990; Film Fare Life Achievement Award in 2009.
