US-based smartphone firm has introduced its latest handset, Blu Energy XL. It will be exclusively available via Amazon with a price a tag of $299. Sported with 4G LTE, the machine is compatible with T-Mobile and AT&T networks in the US. Available in Gold and Silver colour variant, the gadget is likely to face of Asus ZenFone Max (2016) because of sharing a similar 5000mAh battery unit with the rival. The manufacturer assured the folks of four hours talk time in just 10 minutes of charging.
Blu has also introduced India with budget Android smartphones Life Mark with a price tag of Rs 8,999. Although the global availability of Energy XL has not been revealed yet but the company assures its foreign customers to hit the gadget worldwide very soon.
Featured with 6-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display, Blu Energy XL sports a 1080×1920 pixel of resolution and pixel density of 367ppi. The machine is processed with a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek 6753 chip in conjunction with 3GB RAM. It is likely to boast Mali-T720 graphics GPU with a fingerprint scanner at the back panel.
On the photography front, it houses a 13MP rear camera featuring an autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, LED flash module and enabling the user to record full-HD (1080p) videos at 30fps while the selfie snapper boasts 5MP lens. With an expandable storage up to 64GB via microSD card, the Energy XL bears 64GB onboard storage.
The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based-on Energy XL and would surely receive an update for Android 6.0 Marshmallow by the end of 2016, as claimed by the officials. Backed with a 5000mAH battery unit, it is likely to face a tough competition with Asus ZenFone Max because of sharing a same battery unit. Features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, USB Type-C 2.0, and A-GPS, 4G LTE are injected into connectivity options.
