(UPDATE: BlackBerry prepares for another flop with Classic smartphone)
The business smartphone maker, BlackBerry is set to launch ‘Classic’ smartphone with its new operating system, next month . The CEO John Chen told that the device is up for pre-order for $449 at the company’s online store.
Initially, the device will be unveiled on December 17 in NYC, Frankfut in Singapore. It is expected from BlackBerry Limited to launch the device in a price range of Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 40,000 in India. However, the release date is not reviled by the Canadian telecommunication giant.
In the league of touch screen devices, the company is still sticking to a Qwerty keypad including an elegant trackpad. According to company’s spokesperson the keyboard is accompanied by a 3.5-inch touchscreen to offer the best of the keypad and touch display modes.
The BlackBerry boasts a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 dual-core processor backed up with 2 GB of RAM. It also features an 8 MP of primary camera coupled with a 2 MP of front facing camera for video calling. On Paper, the device will boast a 16 GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 128 GB using a microSD card. It will flank up with new function keys that haven’t been seen in previous BlackBerry 10 devices.
The smartphone runs on BlackBerry’s new OS 10.3.1,which is also a new release. It got a massive change in notification profiles, rumors suggest. A change in camera and battery performance will be noticed in the further updated version. In addition to this, BlackBerry World, and the Amazon Appstore are provided pre-loaded which will let a user access Android games and apps.
