Kiran Bedi sends a legal notice to Kejriwal for her photo on AAP posters

Kiran Bedi, BJP’s nominee for Delhi Chief Minister, sent a legal notice to AAP leader to stop using her photos on posters of AAP for campaigning without her permission. BJP went to Election Commission to ban Arvind Kejriwal from standing in elections and from addressing public gathering saying that AAP violated the model code of conduct.

“Yes, she has sent a notice to Kejriwal. He has been asked to ensure that the posters are removed,” Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) media convener Praveen Shankar Kapoor told.

“He has been making frivolous accusations against other parties and individuals so that he can mislead the people. We have urged the EC to take immediate action against him and to cancel his candidature as well as ban him from addressing public rallies,” Satish Upadhyay, president of the BJP Delhi unit, told reporters.

Kapoor also told that the complaint to the commission consisted of four to five violations of the code of conduct. Earlier, Bedi’s fellow leaders also sent a notice to Kejriwal about this but Arvind didn’t respond to that.

Recently, the Aam Aadmi Pary put up posters saying that Whom do you want as your leader, Arvind Kejriwal “imandar” (Honest) or Bedi “avsarvadi” (Opportunist). AAP put up these posters on some rickshaws in the national capital.

BJP has devised a special team to take on Arvind Kejriwal ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections. The members of this team are designated to give AAP a reply on a different subjects. According to sources, Piyush Goyal will be replying on issue pertaining to power, HRD Minister Smriti Irani will respond on education, Health Minister JP Nadda on health, Kiran Bedi on women security and Nirmala Sitaraman on economic issues.
