Asus has added another member in the ZenFone series by launching Asus ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 17,999, the gadget comes in two color variants — Red Silver and Gold. The company further revealed that the handset will be initially available for sale at the major e-commerce retail stores, Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal while the offline sales will commence from the second week of December.
The Asus ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) smartphone comes with a 6-inch full-HD IPS display, which offers 1920×1080 pixels of resolution and a 5-megapixel of user-facing selfie shooter above the front panel. Whereas, the back panel of the device flaunts a 13-megapixel of primary autofocus camera featured with 2.0 aperture and LED flash, and a 3000 mAh of battery, placed under the hood. Additionally, it comes with an accelerometer, e-compass, gyroscope, proximity light, and ambient light sensor.
The smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS supported by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (MSM8939) chipset that is coupled with a 2GB of RAM. On storage front, the device offers a 16GB of inbuilt memory, which have an expandability option up to 128Gb by using a microSD card.
Connectivity features of the smartphone include 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared and microUSB. In addition, Asus claims that the handset supports Indian 4G LTE bands that offer download speeds up to 150Mbps.
