Apple is all set to release much-anticipated MacBook Air and iPad Pro 2018 at its upcoming ‘Special Event 2018’ scheduled on October 30 at Brooklyn Academy of Music. Now, we aren’t completely sure about the two aforesaid products that will be released but there have been numerous reports, leaks, and renders for iPad Pro 2018 that we cannot resist adding it to the list of products to be released.
What happened is, Apple held its Special Event 2018 on September 12 where many products were expected to launch but Apple prioritized Apple iPhone XS, XS Max, and XS, along with Apple Watch Series 4 and HomePod. Now, the Cupertino-based company is known to hold another launch event sometime in October or November for past few years and therefore, the numerous reports came into light. A few days ago, Apple officiated that it will hold a launch event on October 30 thereby forcing OnePlus to prepone its launch on October 29.
About the October 30 Special Event, Apple is expected to refresh the much-anticipated iPad Pro 2018 which was earlier rendered as an iPhone X series-inspired tablet and it will be surely since Apple is working towards updating all its products to resonate the design for iPhone X. The iPad Pro 2018 has an edge-to-edge display with very thin bezels and two new sizes will be available i.e. 11-inch and 12.9-inch and yes, there will be an LTE and Wi-Fi models each and no home button. Finally, the iPhone X-famed FaceID will pave its way to the iPad Pro 2018 that works both in horizontal and vertical position.
Of course, there are few details that we already know about the upcoming iPad Pro 2018 such as it will switch from Apple’s proprietary lightning connector too much common USB Type-C that would allow it to output with a 4K monitor thereby attempting to blur the line between tablets and monitors. According to a source with likes from Mac Otakara, Apple is reportedly working on a cable that connects Apple Watch from iPad Pro via USB Type-C. This smart move was highlighted after Huawei launched its Mate 20 Pro with wireless two-way charging functionality.
Apart from iPad Pro 2018, Apple could introduce an affordable (by Apple’s standards) MacBook Air with a low-cost display that would bring down its price tag. Also, the MacBook Air hasn’t received many updates off lately and it is also a few generations behind the actual intel cores that are in use by other tablets and laptops.
Apple hasn’t officially provided any statement with respect to the October 30 event. We will have to wait till the event is aired on October 30 starting at 10 a.m. EDT.
