Apple iPhone lovers will be glad to hear that just before launching iPhone 7 in India, the Cupertino giant has slashed the prices of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus by Rs. 20,000. No, I am not kidding, the iPhone 6s models will be now available at cheaper price than they were selling earlier.
Sourced revealed that Apple Inc. has cut down the price of 128GB variant of iPhone 6s to Rs. 60,000, however, it was earlier sold at Rs. 82,000. While, the iPhone 6s Plus 128GB mobile phone will be now available at Rs. 70,000 and the 4-inch handset, iPhone SE, which was launched in March this year with a price tag of Rs. 49,000 will be now selling in Indian smartphone market at Rs. 44,000.
Besides this, Apple iPhone 6s variants are declared to be highest selling Apple smartphones around the globe, during second quarter this year. Apple currently accounts for two of the three top-selling devices shipped worldwide. Market research firm Strategy Analytics reportedly said that the manufacturer has shipped 14.2 million units and accounted for four per cent share of all smartphones shipped worldwide in Q2 2016.
Meanwhile, the Apple iPhone 6 scored second position on the list and got two per cent marketshare with the worldwide shipment of 8.5 million units. Following the ranking, Samsung Galaxy S7 edge comes at third place with 8.3 million and two per cent share.
The Apple iPhone 6s was launched in October last year. The handset comes in two different screen sizes, iPhone 6s with 4.7-inch display and iPhone 6s Plus with 5.5-inch. Both of the models comes equipped with 3D Touch technology, 64-bit A9 chipset, 12MP iSight camera and 2GB of RAM. The handset are also available in storage variants that could be opted by the user, as per the requirement.
