Apple Inc iPhone 6 and 6 Plus price has now been slashed by the e-commerce giants in the country. Previously both the smartphones were selling at a starting price of Rs. 53,500 and 62,500 respectively. Retail giants, including Amazon and Flipkart, now selling these devices for approximately Rs. 3000 and Rs. 5000 less than the original price.
iPhone 6 with 16GB, 64GB and 128GB of storage at the time of launch was selling at a price of Rs. 53,500, Rs. 62,500 and Rs. 71,500 respectively, however, the new price on the retail giants is as Rs 48,385 on Flipkart and Rs 50,285 on Amazon for 16GB model. The price for 64GB variant fell down to Rs 57,434 with a minimum discount on the 128GB model selling at Rs. 70,770.
On the other hand, iPhone 6 Plus 16GB model is now selling at a price of 56,999 and 57,608 at Amazon and Flipkart respectively. The other two variants with 64GB and 128 GB of storage are now selling at a price of Rs. 65,999 and Rs. 73,999 respectively.
Authorized Apple Inc stores are still selling these devices for the previous price. However, Amazon was also offering a massive discount on iPhone 6 in alliance with the HDFC bank. HDFC offered a cash back of nearly Rs. 8,000 to its credit card holders who were eligible to purchase the smartphone tagged at a price of Rs. 44,678. On the flip side, Amazon was offering the same discount on the iPhone 5S that had its price slashed to Rs. 31,500.
Apparently, this is the first time in the Indian market that the individuals are lured to buy the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. At the date of launch, people were also seen waiting outside the stores in India in an attempt to become the first person to buy that newly launched iPhone.
Apple has already generated a massive revenue by selling iPhone 6 and 6 Plus this year.
