Apple Inc installing lockers to safeguard gold edition Watch

Apple Inc is reportedly installing safes in the stores worldwide to protect the gold edition of the upcoming Apple Watch. Installation of the safes, clearly depicts how expensive the gold version of the watch will be. Company is apparently taking this measure to protect these costly devices from any mishap.

As per the several reports, one gold edition Apple Watch is expected to come with a price tag of INR 3,00,000 or $5000. Clearly, this puts the device in the category of luxurious watches. It’s apparently the first time in the entire history of Apple Inc that the company is selling a luxurious product. If we talk about the price, then gold edition Apple Watch will be second in place, as the Cupertino giant is already selling cylindrical Mac Pro for nearly $10,000 or INR 6,00,000.

The Watch is expected to arrive sometime in the month of April, 2015. It will have two different sizes, one with a height of 32mm while another with 42mm. The Watch will have three flavors, including Watch, Watch Sport, and Watch Edition, to choose from. All of them have a distinct design with a range of custom straps. Apple Inc is going to provide different styles of straps that can be easily changed over and again as per the user’s choice. However, there haven’t been any confirmation about how much each strap is going to cost. If reports are to believed Apple is going to provide them for nearly $60 or INR 4,000 each.

Though the company is going to launch it in the month of April, maintaining the tradition, Apple will release it a month later in India. Like, most of the devices, India stores have to wait a while for the Watch to arrive.

Apple Watch was introduced in the October last year at the iPhone launch event. Like most of the companies, Apple has also restricted the use of Watch to only its iOS devices.
