What will happen when Aliens meet humans and how will they look like, reveals Michio Kaku

Physicist Michio Kaku was asked about the robots and Artificial Intelligence and what if these robots try to kill humans. According to the esteemed physicist, there must be a chip inside the robot’s brain that inhibits any flow of ‘murderous’ thought to develop or else, it would be too late to do.

Aliens can be harmful for humans; Robots with A.I. might overpower humans, says Physicist Michio Kaku

Humans have evolved over a period of more than millions of years. His intellectual and intelligence made the modern world what it is today. There is an ongoing race to reach and colonize Mars which dictates how much technologically advanced we are but is it enough? What if aliens contact humans on Earth via any medium? Will it be safe to establishment connection or is it a threat that will soon follow its way towards destroying our planet? Michio Kaku, a physicist with Ph.D. attended Reddit AMA on Thursday where he was asked few questions from the users and he answered all of them leaving the crowd baffling and stunned.

The first question asked by a fan was about what if aliens try to establish a connection with humans? Physicist Michio Kaku answered the questions stating that it is well probable that aliens try to contact humans by the end of this century or vice versa. However, level of technology, the difference in language, and most importantly, their intentions are of concern. Kaku said that it depends on what type of aliens contact us based on the Kardashev Scale which will determine if the aliens are peaceful or would harm Earth in some or other way. He even created an instance where developers chop trees in the forest because ‘they are in their way’ and that is what aliens could do with humans on Earth if not peaceful.

The Kardashev Scale classifies civilizations in types based on their technological advancement. It was developed by Nikolai Kardashev in 1964 as per which, humans aren’t too technologically advancement to even mentioned in any of the types. Type I depicts planetary civilizations that have harness energy from their host star, Type II depicts stellar civilizations that have established their control on the star while Type III civilizations are galactic who have mastered all forms of the galaxy and are the most advanced species.

Presently, robots are in the elementary stages and aren’t too developed to have their own thought process, but it will all change with few decades in the future when these technological marvels while adapt and learn the tactics of a mouse and then, slowly evolving to higher intellectual and finally, overcome humans. Although this is not an imminent threat as it will take around a century for the robots to evolve enough to compare with the humans.

Moving further to SpaceX when the physicist was asked whether Elon Musk will be able to colonize Mars or not. Firstly, he applauded Elon Musk for his contribution to the space exploration. He even commemorated his efforts backed with only ‘private funds’. Although the timeline quoted by SpaceX to deliver the first human on Mars by 2024 seems a bit optimistic, Kaku added this is a phenomenon step towards space exploration and that too, without hampering and mining on the taxpayer’s money in the federal reserve.
