Akshay Kumar’s new look revealed for ‘Airlift’


Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Airlift’s fist look has been revealed. In this film he is playing the role of an Indian Businessman, who thinks of himself as a Kuwaiti. His dressing is regal along with his wife, the role that is played by ‘The Lunchbox’ famed Nimrat Kaur.

The look reveals a lot about the sedentary lifestyle that will be displayed in this periodic film and how people will be stripped off it and made to adjust in the changing environments and hostility that will eventually bring out the bonding and unity required for survival.

Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series along with Cape of Good Films, Crouching Tigers and Emmay Entertainment will jointly produce Airlift. The film is directed by Raja Krishna Menon and stars Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur in the lead.

The plot of the film is based on true events of 1990 Gulf war. Akshay Kumar is a businessman who finds himself devoid of any facilities that he used to previously enjoy and stranded in Kuwait with his family and no hope to escape. This movie shows how he becomes the hope of 170,000 Indians who are stranded there and makes it into history’s biggest evacuation by any country in 59 days.

Airlift has started shooting in Kuwait and will also be shot on other locations such as Bhuj, Mumbai ad Al Khaimah. Nikhil Advani is planning his venture into production with ‘Airlift’.

Akshay has recently stepped into the patriotic zone where he did films like ‘Baby’ and ‘Holiday’ and with ‘Airlift’ he is again playing a patriotic Indian defending his country. The film has started its shooting on 21st February and will be hitting the floors next year. With Akshay’s exemplary performances in his previous movies, this one will be worth the wait.
