6 ways to fight summer and prevent skin from sunburns

Are you worried about the excess level of sun exposure you are going to be this summer? You need to have adequate precautions in order to avoid the sunburn and other sun damaging skin problems. You can try staying away from the sun especially between the alarming hours of 10 am to 4 pm. You can take the shade or have an umbrella to work. If possible, make sure to avoid unnecessary outings on the sun without armor.
  2. Make sure you apply plenty of sunscreens that have a good amount of SPF like SPF 25 or more on it. Applying sunscreen 15 minutes prior to stepping out in the sun helps your skin to stay protected from the harsh rays. Make sure to reapply sunscreen every 3 hours if you are staying in the sun for long.
  3. Ignoring lips, hair, and nails is not a good idea in summer. Your lips generally get dry and flaky during summer and applying quality lip balm can help it stay smooth and healthy even during sunny days. Your feet get the maximum exposure to sun and you can take care of it by either wearing socks or wear sunscreen on. Cover your head and ears with a good length of the scarf.
  4. Do not get fooled when the weather plays tricks with you and looks cloudy at times. Even when the sun is not in its brightest forms, it is still out there. Remember to reapply sunscreen every 3-4 hours of staying outdoors to prevent sunburn.
  5. Applying sunscreen on the beach is a must. Wearing a sunblock is important to stay away from getting sunburnt especially if you are in the coastal areas or you are in the water.
  6. Drink plenty of water and fresh liquids when you are out as it will not only keep yourself hydrated from the inside but also make you active and feel fresh on the outside. Consume foods rich in vitamin D for a stronger immune system that will enact against sunburns.
