WhatsApp Web TeCake

One of the top messengers, WhatsApp has updated its desktop messaging service, WhatsApp Web. After getting the update, the service allows the users to manage their groups, archive or delete chats and much more.

The WhatsApp Web was unveiled by the company in January of this year and since its launch the service has received many minor tweaks and fixes. The firm has also maintained the UI of its web service similar to the UI of its mobile version.

It is the first major update seen for the WhatsApp Web after its launch. The options like delete and archive in one-on-one chat; and archive, mute and exit group in group chats will be available to the users under a settings icon (three dot in vertical). In addition, users can now also change their profile photo and can edit the status messages.

The WhatsApp’s web client is simply an extension to the WhatsApp on mobile phone. The web browser running WhatsApp Web, mirrors the conversations and messages from the mobile device, which is used to sign in. All of the messages will still live on the phone.

As per the report and screenshots by a website, AndroidPolice, the web client is also getting some keyboard shortcuts for some actions. It is however not consistent to the service as it is appearing sporadically. This could also presumable that the developers are currently working on it and it in its testing phase.
