The Swipe Technologies launches 3G variant of Ultimate Tab, a recently launched hybrid laptop. The device will be available at Rs. 19,999 via various online retailers in India, from January 21. As per the reports, the Swipe Ultimate Tab 3G is almost identical in specifications as seen in its predecessor that was launched in November last year. The younger sibling lags with inbuilt 3G connectivity option via Sim card and a direct USB 3.0 port.
The hybrid tabtop runs on Windows 8.1 supported by a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3735F (4 core, 4 threads, 1.33GHz base clock, up to 1.83GHz burst, 2MB cache) processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It is featured with a 10.1-inch XWVGA (1280×800 pixels) multi-touch IPS display with Zero Air Gap technology and a detachable magnetic keyboard.
Moreover, the company has offered 32GB of internal storage with no expandable storage option. However, unlike in the Swipe Ultimate, the new variant supports up to 1TB HDDs via Micro-USB port. The Swipe technologies provided a 5-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Furthermore, for connectivity options on the Swipe Ultimate Tab 3G includes Wi-Fi, 3G (via SIM card), Bluetooth 4.0, Micro HDMI port, Micro-USB, and USB 3.0. The device comes with a 7000mAh battery that can easily supply juice to the device for an entire day. As far as the dimensions concerned, it measures 256.4x171x9.5mm. The company has not unveiled the weight details, but it may be assumed to weigh roughly around 580 grams, similar to the Wi-Fi only variant.
