microsoft lumia 535

Microsoft has unveiled a new Windows 8.1 smartphone, Lumia 535, without Nokia branding in it. Except the exciting features it has for a great price, what’s amazing about this new phone is that it doesn’t have any Nokia branding, Microsoft finally shaved off the name of the company in the acquisition.

Talking about the smartphone itself, its been packed with Windows 8.1 and has almost every feature one might expect from a budget — in fact more than that. Company was able to pack this non-Nokia smartphone with a qHD 5-inch screen that sports a resolution of 960×560 pixels.

The powerhouse for this device is a Snapdragon 200 clocked at the 1.2 GHz or 1200 MHz, which has a coupled RAM of 1 GB. The device itself holds a memory of 8 GB and can be expanded to another 128 GB by using a MicroSD card. Microsoft is also giving free storage of 15GB with this Lumia 535.

Talking about another important aspect, the batteries, company has packed a 1905 mAh BL-L4A battery that can stand by upto 28 days and has a capabilities of giving you a talk time of 11 hours and 13 hours on 2G and 3G network respectively. It can play music for you for almost 78 hours and can allow you to do Wi-Fi surfing for nearly 8.5 hours.

It has 5.0 MP rear facing camera and 5.0 front facing wide-angle camera, which can be great for taking some mesmerising photographs.

The Lumia 535 will be available in green, blue, orange, white, dark grey, and black and like always this smartphone is also packed with Skype, OneNote and various other services from the software giant.

The price for this amazing smartphone is expected to be around 9000 INR (without taxes and subsidies) and is apparently going to launch before the end of this year.

A few months after Microsoft finally took over the Nokia, the company had its Chennai factory closed. A few were left unemployed, however, the Redmond giant is also working to setup data centres in India.
