Adding a new device in budget smartphone portfolio, InFocus has launched its M260 smartphone today in India at a price of Rs. 3,999 in three color variants, vibrant orange, pristine white and fluorescent green with a black twist at the bottom. The company has further announced that the handset will be available for sale exclusively on Snapdeal, starting from November 5.
Commenting on the launch, Sachin Thapar, Country Head, InFocus India said that budget smartphones currently selling in the market are associated with entry-level specifications. He however further claimed that the InFocus M260 comes with a ‘no-compromise’ fully loaded experience for a first time smartphone user. He further told that the firm has partnered the manufacturing giant, Foxconn to provide a better build quality and unmatched performance on the mobile phone ‘at a disruptive pricing, truly democratising the smartphone industry’.
Looking at the specs, the 1.3 GHz quad-core processor that embedded with 1GB of RAM can offer a decent performance and enables the device to run mid-range apps like Facebook and Clash of Clans, flawlessly on the stock Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. Meanwhile, the 8GB of internal storage allows to store loads of apps, music, videos and much more, also, users can expand the storage up to 64 GB by using a microSD card.
On photography front, the device comes with a 5-megapixel of primary image shooter, placed at its back with LED flash, while it also allows to click smart selfies with the help of its 2-megapixel of front-facing camera, which is placed above a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display offering 480×854 of screen resolution.
Ine terms of connectivity, the InFocus M260 sports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and a micro USB port. It is fueled with a 2000 mAh of battery.
In addition to it, the company claims that the new ultra-affordable device, InFocus M260 is the first handset to be assembled locally at the Foxconn’s manufacturing unit situated at Sri City in Andhra Pradesh.
Like other company’s focusing on Indian smartphone market, being world’s second largest mobile phone selling hub, InFocus is also strengthening its grounds by building reputation and trust to the consumers. The main hesitation in purchasing a smartphone by a manufacturing startup is reliability and service support. Keeping it in mind, the company has inaugurated 135 service centers, as of now, across 126 cities in India.
