Indian travellers spend 50% of their time on social media while on holiday

Facebook is the most accessed social media platform that has connected the world and its every corner with each other grabbing the pioneering pose. The social media giant announced its yearly round-up report and gave the world few glimpses of what happened in the soon-to-be-closing year.

Mark Zuckerberg through its annual report revealed the details of Facebook including the user base, how users used Facebook, what they viewed, what have been read and what are the most talked about topics of 2016. World’s largest social networking site Facebook, while announcing its yearly report disclosed that it has 166 million active monthly user-bases in India. Of this 166 users, 159 million users are browsing Facebook on mobile.

The report also stated that the topics of Cricket and Diwali were the most popular topics that have been discussed on Facebook in 2016. Most Indian users have discussed the subjects related to Diwali and Cricket most in 2016, while the themes of Uri attacks and surgical strikes are following it. If we arrange the much-talked about topics on Facebook, then Diwali will lead the line while Cricket, Uri Attack, and Surgical Strike will follow it. After these topics, in this list of 10 issues, the iPhone 7 acquired the 10th rank and was the only gadget to be ranked in the top-ten list.

Alongside the Indian annual review, Facebook also has revealed the global reports according to which the most favourite and talked topic across the globe was the US Presidential Election while Brazilian Politics and Pokemon Go were said to go behind it.

In addition, Facebook also publicised that, Diwali was also the day when the highest number of users posted pictures and videos on Instagram. The previous year reports of Facebook featured Taj Mahal as the most instagrammed location of India, while WhMarine Drive, Mumbai, has beat it this year. Moreover, Hauz Khas a village in Delhi surprisingly made its way to the third spot, pushing India Gate to the fourth rank.
