As soon the reports started surfacing, suggesting a new Nougat build release in China, Android Soul reported that the Moto Z handset has started receiving the build. The website claims that the Moto Z users are getting notifications for OTA update to Android Nougat.

While earlier reports suggested that within the first week of this month the Android 7.0 Nougat with build NCC25.106-11 would hit in the country. Recently, Motorola has officially confirmed in its post on Weibo that the company has rolled out the Nougat update with the same build with its flagship phone Nougat.

The update makes the device Daydream-ready phone like Pixel. “With Daydream View and a Daydream-ready phone like Pixel, you’ll be able to kick back in your personal cinema, explore new worlds and get in the game like never before,” Google said.

Besides, the Nougat update enriches the smartphone with its exclusive features such as night mode, bundled notification, enhanced security update, improved battery optimisation, multi-window options and numerous other value-added features to enhance user experience.

Additional notable features include beyond what Android 7.0 Nougat brings new mojos, enhanced file browser, a new Moto action called Swipe to shrink the screen, clear all, current apps, push notifications, Google Assistant enhanced Java 8 language support, smooth updates, and data saver, direct reply notifications,  additional power competence.

How to install Android 7.0 Nougat update to your Motorola Device

The company advising to users that the update should be downloaded and installed on when the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network and only if the cell-Phone has more than 50% percent charge.

If you have not received a notification message for this update, follow the steps below to manually update your phone:

  1. Select the Settings icon in the apps menu.
  2. Select “About phone”.
  3. Select “System updates”.
  4. Select “Yes, I’m in”. After the software is downloaded, select “Install now”.
  5. After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
  6. Your phone is now updated.

If you have received a notification message for this update:

  1. Select “Yes, I’m in”.
  2. After the software is downloaded, select “Install now”.
  3. After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
  4. Your phone is now updated.

If you are still unable to update your smartphone with the latest update, there’s no need to panic, as the OTA process are carried in phases and it might take some time to reach all corners of the world.

To check updates manually visit Settings >> About Phone>> System Updates>> check for the new firmware.
