The Nobel Prize-winning scientist, Sir Tim Hunt was forced to resign after he made a sexist remark about women scientists.

Sir Tim, 72, had joked at a conference in South Korea that men and women should ‘work in separate labs’. He told the audience: ‘Let me tell you about my trouble with girls … three things happen when they are in the lab … You fall in love with them, they fall in love with you and when you criticise them, they cry.’ The scientist, who won a Nobel Prize in 2001, later said his comments were light-hearted.

Sir Tim Hunt who won the Nobel Prize in 2001 was forced to resign from his honorary post — Dean of Life Sciences at University College London.

Professor Michael Arthur, president and provost of University College London said that he do regret accepting the resignation and announcing it but Hunt’s resignation will not be reversed as gender equality is above Nobel Laureate and it would send entirely signal if his remarks are taken lightly.

Arthur’s statement came after two more Nobel prize-winners defended Hunt’s statement. Sir Tim Serge from College de France called it ‘a manhunt’ while Professor Wolfgang Ketterle of MIT called it ‘overreaction’.  However, Arthur made it clear that the decision has been made in public interest and to create a healthy environment where women will safe and respected. Arthur further added that Sir Tim has apologized for his remarks.

It seems even Nobel Laureates are unsure of their respective job, so think twice before you make any comment on women.

The man is a genius. It is a sad and sorry day for everyone as his career falls due to the femnazi offenderati. The backlash is we simply won’t hire women.
