Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will continue to meet the party MLAs and MPs from different districts till June 17. He elected representatives and head of different cells from different districts have been asked to go to the poll battle in respective areas.
The pep talk of Nitish Kumar revolved around the on the table alliance with Lalu Prasad’s RJD, former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi and the development work done under him in Bihar state.
However, he made it clear that if alliance happens with RJD, it is all right and if not, there is not any problem in that as well. He has exhorted them to disseminate the details of work in nine years of his chief Ministership to the electorate
In an obliquely pointed finger towards Manjhi, Nitish Kumar said cleared the air of any criticism on him to have done anything wrong. Nitish added that the person whom he has pushed to top is now speaking against him and preaching a Nitish free Bihar.
Nitish did not express any strong keenness for alliance during his speech and considered merger a better option. JD (U) believes that RJD will place obstacles n alliance because Lalu was staking claims even on the existing seats of JD (U).
According to Govindganj MLA Meena Dwibedi they have not been asked to wait for any alliance. In fact, the MLAs have to go to people and lighten the areas where work was done under Nitish.
Madhuban MLA Shivji Rai also agreed. He confirmed that they have been asked by Nitish to bridge up the differences, if there are any and also different wings of the party have to work in coordination But Rai also confirmed that the talks about the alliance are with Left and Congress are still on.
