Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, attended a high-level meeting to review the progress of the communication department. The communication department deals with installing new lines, high-speed railways, port connectivity, electrification and factories, which can be helpful in attracting direct foreign investment.
In a meeting held on Wednesday, Modi reviewed the progress of the projects that are in are every area, including port connectivity and electrification.
The Prime Minister asked all the related ministers to go to the respected sites once a month to track the real-time progress of the ongoing work. He said that the ongoing project `Sagarmala’ must lay stress on “port-led development.” The project would include various connectivity elements, including ports, international shipping, highways and rail connectivity.
The PM said that he is looking forward to a special meeting with all coastal states to discuss the sectors of infrastructure, coastal security, island development, tourism, entertainment and biodiversity in an integrated and holistic manner.
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev also had a meeting with PM at his residence. There were no official declarations, but the Baba told that issues of national importance were discussed in there. The meeting has been supposed to be about the government’s inability to bring back the black money stacked in foreign countries. The government has already submitted list of 627 people to the bench that will submit its report by march.
Modi said on Sunday that he would try to make every Indian paisa comeback to the country and will take strict actions on the culprits. According to the PM, the black money that has gone out will be investigated accordingly and will be ceased for the country’s development.
