An International Conference on counter-terrorism is scheduled to take place on Thursday in Jaipur. Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be attending the conference wherein crucial issues like maritime terrorism, piracy, chemical, biological and nuclear terrorism will be on board of discussion.
Other dignitaries to be present at the three-day conference are defence minister Manohar Parrikar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, former home secretary G K Pillai, former Army chief Gen (retd.) V P Malik, former head of BSF Prakash Singh and others.
The conference will have separate sessions for issues like ‘illegal migration and border security’, ‘cyberspace’, ‘terror trade: weapons, narcotics’, ‘social media and terrorism’ and fake currency.
The conference will witness international participation from Sri Lanka, USA, Greece, Pakistan and others.
Former chief of Sri Lankan Army Sarath Fonseka, Admiral Jamers Loy, senior counsellor, Cohen Group, USA, John M. Nomikos, Director of Research Institute for European and American Studies, Greece, Rahimullah Yusufzai, resident editor of The News, Pakistan are some of the international participants in the conference.
Amidst the recent terror incidents all over the globe and subsequent global solidarity on the issue, the conference is sure to be a definitive confluence on the matter in hand.
