Bhartiya Janta Party TeCake

BJP has done a pre-budget meeting in order to get the bills passed where it will organize two all-party meetings in order to achieve the best of goals. These bills are in promise to the nation, the one that Modi has committed to. But the problem is that the opposition parties are forming an even stronger front to make sure it sidelines BJP.

This confidence in the opposition has come, following the big BJP government crash in Delhi elections where BJP contender Kiran Bedi lost big time to Arvind Kejriwal.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu seek Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s cooperation on Sunday, for the government will be requiring strong parties like theirs, particularly in the Rajya Sabha for conversion of Ordinances into Acts.

BJP’s agenda holds 44 items of financial, legislative and non-legislative business. The ordinances include those on coal, mines and minerals, e-rickshaws, amendment to Citizenship Act, Land Acquisition and the one on FDI in the insurance sector.

Although the Land Acquisition Ordinance is all set to face opposition from activists like Anna Hazare and communist parties due to the accusation that it’s anti-farmer in nature. They have said that there are various issues attached to the Land Acquisition ordinance which will need serious addressing if they need to be passed as beneficial for the country.

The first part of the budgeting session will continue till March 20 and will include Rail Budget on February 26, Economic Survey on February 27 and General Budget on February 28. The second half will start after a month-long break from April 20 and will be concluded on May 8.

The bills are all set and so are the government and opposition parties, now what’s left to see is that, ‘Will the odds be in nation’s favor or the game players?’
