In a case of negligence, a one and half year old girl child was found dead due to the alleged negligence of a doctor in a private clinic. According to the reports, Hamid Ullah brought her minor girl child to a private clinic from Ganika area of the Doda district for treatment.
After examining the girl, the doctor gave her some treatment before shifting her to the District Hospital Doda for further treatment. The doctor named Rattan Singh Manhas, Consultant Pediatric, DH Doda declared the girl as dead during further treatment in the operation theatre.
Soon after the death, the parents blamed the doctor’s negligence for the mishap. According to the parents, doctor present at the clinic gave the injection of double dose and the girl could not bear the heaviness of the injection which led to the death. As the news of the ailing girl spread, people along with deceased’s family members held protest.
Amid slogans against Government and Health authorities, the protestors demanded immediate suspension and arrest of the said doctors.
When contacted DC Doda Bhupinder Kumar said that the doctor has been placed under suspension and an inquiry has been initiated in the minor girl’s death case.
He asserted that action will be taken against guilty.
