The India-based Micromax-owned brand, Yu Televentures is about to launch its next flagship smartphone, Yu Yutopia in the country on December 7. The company has sent out invites for a launching event that reads, “The real beast is coming to town on 07.12.15.” It hints that Yu is likely to launch a new smartphone.
Previously, Rahul Sharma, co-founder, Micromax had revealed that their Yutopia will be the ‘most powerful phone on the planet.’ In addition, he stated in a note, “Has it happened to you ever that you have been transformed from your real life into this dream where everything is perfect. The impractical, idealistic world where nothing is impossible. Well, it’s happening here and the state of YUTOPIA is no more a dream.”
“We have been working very hard to come up with the most powerful phone on this planet, yes you heard it right THE MOST POWERFUL PHONE EVER, and boy, do we hit our target this time…..the answer is YESSSSSSSSSS! Citing the leaks, the upcoming Yu Yutopia will sport a better battery backup than the latest iPhone models as the firm has unveiled a teaser, targeting Apple Inc, which shows the Apple logo with a low battery indication and with a caption stating, “Would you enjoy an apple that doesn’t last long?” Also, it will boast 32GB of internal storage, which is greater than iPhone base models i.e. 16GB.
The rumors surfacing on the Internet suggest that the full metal build smartphone will come with a 5.2-inch display, which has confirmed by the firm to be featured with QHD i.e. 2560 x 1440 pixels of resolution. Apart from the display, it is likely to be powered by a 1.5GHz 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor that will be clubbed with an Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB or 4GB RAM. While, on camera front, there will be a 21-megapixle of primary image shooter on the back and an 8-megapixel camera placed upfront.
Yu Televentures has not only targeted Apple’s iPhone, it has also targeted the recently launched OnePlus 2 smartphone in an another teaser that hints that their forthcoming device will also feature the Qualcomm’s Quick Charge, which doesn’t include in OnePlus 2 smartphone. Moreover, the firm also mentions in a teaser, ” RIP Plastic and Sandstone, TRUE POWER LIES IN METAL”.
Before the launch of Yu Yunique handset, a top-end smartphone was spotted in the Geekbench listings and at an Indian export/import manifest website, with a dubbed name Yu550. The Yu550 scored 1353 in single-core test and 4622 in the multi-core test and it is assumed that the device was the Yu Yutopia smartphone.
