Just a day ahead of launching the flagship phablets, Vivo x6 and Vivo X6 Plus, the company has unveiled its budget smartphone, Y51 in the Chinese smartphone market on Wednesday. However, the pricing and availability details are yet to be revealed.
Earlier, a report released by GSMArena revealed that Vivo is about to introduce two new budget smartphones with entry-level specifications. The report further suggested that the devices were spotted at TENNA certification with model name Y51 and Y51L. Hence, it is assumed that the firm will announce its Y51L smartphone in coming weeks. It will be quite similar in specs with the Y51L, suggest report.
While, the newly launched Vivo Y51 handset comes with a 5-inch qHD IPS display, which offers 540×960 pixels of resolution and a 5-megapixel of user-facing selfie shooter above the front panel. Whereas, the back panel of the device flaunts an 8-megapixel of primary camera featured with LED flash and a 2350 mAh of battery, placed under the hood. Additionally, the rear image capturing tool features Night mode, HDR, Panorama, Face Beauty modes, and full-HD (1080p) video recording.
The Vivo Y51 runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop-based FunTouch OS supported by a 1.2GHz 64-bit quad-core processor integrated with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM. On storage front, the device offers a 16GB of inbuilt memory, which have an expandability option up to 128Gb by using a microSD card.
Connectivity features of the smartphone include 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared and microUSB. Meanwhile, it also comes with several standard sensors including, ambient light, proximity, gravity, and digital compass sensors.
