The India-based electronics manufacturing firm, Videocon has introduced its Infinium Z51 Nova smartphone with a price tag of Rs. 5,400, this Tuesday. The handset will be available for sale at local retail stores and various e-commerce websites in Blue and Grey color variants.
Commenting on the launch, Jerold Pereira, CEO, Videocon Mobile Phones said, “As a consumer-centric brand, we aim to satisfy the emerging needs of consumers and in line up to the same, we have launched Z51 Nova, which offers stunning design, utmost reliability and a smooth, faster and best-in-class smartphone experience to the consumers.”
The Videocon Infinium Z51 Nova runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat supported by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor that is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. It comes with 8 GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 32 GB via a microSD card.
The manufacturer has fronted the handset with a 5-inch FWVGA display with 480×854 of resolution and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Meanwhile, the back of the device sports a 5-megapixel autofocus primary image shooter that is featured with an LED flash; and a 2000 mAh of battery, under the hood.
Pereira further said that the handset comes pre-installed with V-Safe and V-Secure apps with 90 days of free subscription. The V-Safe app is designed for emergency purposes to contact family and friends.
On connectivity front, the handset includes Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, and 3G; as options. It measures 133.5x65x8.5mm, and weighs 131 grams.
