Samsung Electronics has introduced its Galaxy A7 smartphone in Indian smartphone market at a price tag of Rs. 30,499 after launching it worldwide last month. The Company announced that the smartphone will be available for sale through its official online retail portal .
The Galaxy A7 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat supported by 2 GB of RAM coupled with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, which includes four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.0GHz. However, outside India, the device is available with Samsung’s native Exynos processor, as a variant.
The device is featured with a 5.5-inch Super-AMOLED display with a full-HD 1080×1920 pixels of resolution and a 13 megapixel of primary snapper with autofocus and LED flash, in addition a 5-megapixel front-facing camera is provided with various selfie features like Wide Selfie, Rear-cam Selfie, Beauty Face and other camera features, similar to other recently launched Samsung models. These features are quite similar to ‘Ultra Wide Shot’ and ‘Auto Selfie’ modes found in previous Galaxy A series phones.
Under the hood, the company has provided 2600 mAh of battery and 16 GB of inbuilt storage that supports an expandability up to 64 GB via microSD card. For connectivity options the device got, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, 4G LTE Cat. 4, USB 2.0, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, and NFC.
The slimmest Galaxy series device measures 151 x 76.2 x 6.3 mm and weighs 141 g, available in three color variants, Gold, White, and Black. The phone is also offering Ultra Power Saving Mode, Private Mode, Multi-Screen and Quick Connect options for its users.
