Panasonic unveiled a new smartphones for its selfie obsessed users on Wednesday. The device Eluga S will go on sale at a price of Rs. 11,190, from the third week of November. However, it is being sold by Snapdeal at just Rs 10990, listed with black and white variants.
The Panasonic India managing director, Manish Sharma told that ELUGA S runs on the Android 4.4.2 operating system supported by 1.4GHz Octa-Core processor that is coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, expanded upto 32GB. It is 7.9 mm thick device which weighs 155 g and featured by a 5-inch IPS, 180 x 720 display
The smartphone has an 8MP FHD capable auto-focus primary camera and a 5MP of front facing camera, which makes Eluga S to be in the selfie phone territory fueled with 2100 mAh battery.
After the Eluga U and Eluga A, launched at price of 18,990 INR and 9,490 INR respectively, this is the third in the Eluga Series smartphone from the company.
“This is the third phone in the ELUGA series which defines our willingness to embrace new technology in a market like India,” Sharma said.
He further added as Panasonic India is trying to proclaim its existence in Indian mobile market, that the device have to compete with Lava Iris Selfie 50 that costs nearly Rs 8,000 and many other selfie phones in the same range.
