Oppo, after launching Oppo R7s in the smartphone market, a week before at an event held in Dubai, has announced its new device Oppo Neo 7. However, the availability and pricing details are yet to be revealed. The handset is listed on the company’s official website. It is also expected from Oppo to launch the smartphone in India as well, since, the website also lists the Indian version of the handset which supports Indian 4G LTE bands.
Also, the company hasn’t uttered a word on prices and availability of its latest R7s smartphone in India.
The highlighting feature of Oppo Neo 7 is its low light selfie mode that allows users to click selfies in low light with the help of its 5-megapixel of front facing camera, screen brightness and light-sensitive sensor. The sensor regulates the screen brightness as per the external environment. For an instance, if the user is clicking a selfie using front camera of the phone in low light its sensor will get the condition and brightens the display which allows the camera to capture image in display light of the phone.
The droidphone will be running on its Lollipop flavor, v5.1 covered with a layer of its own designed ColorOS 2.1 ROM, supported by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor, which is bundled with Adreno 306 and 1GB of RAM. On storage front, the manufacturer has provided 16GB of inbuilt memory, that can be expandable up to 128GB by using a microSD card.
Apart from the 5-megapixel of front camera, the Oppo Neo 7 boasts an 8-megapixel of primary image snapper, which is featured with an LED flash. It is fronted with a 5-inch qHD TFT display with 540×960 pixels of resolution. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone comes with 4G, connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, 3G, and GPS, as options. It is fueled with a 2420 mAh of battery.
As per the specification, it is assumed that the smartphone will debut in India with a price under Rs. 10,000. Also, like other mid-range devices the handset will flawlessly perform daily tasks such as browsing, texting and entertainment. While, the battery might disappoint the buyers as the small battery would quickly drain to zero with heavy usage due to large screen size and background running apps. However, the company might attract the potential buyers with the looks of the handset or by offering a reasonable price point. As of now, we can’t rate the device as good or bad before getting the further details.
Stay tuned to get availability and pricing details and final verdict.
