Moto M with waterproof metal body and 4GB RAM enlisted online

Soon after its global launch, the mid-ranged metal-clad Moto M smartphone is making its way to Indian smartphone market. Motorola India confirmed via its Twitter handle that the handset will be soon available to the Indian users. The company has teased its fans by posting tweets and images on the site. One of the teaser tweet reads, “Something different is coming your way. Stay tuned to know more,” accompanied by the hashtag #ComingSoon.

Earlier this month, the Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched the Moto M smartphone in Gold colour in China with a promise that it will be launched soon in the International market.  Moto M is priced at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 19,700) for the Chinese bazaar and it is expected that it will be priced in India at around Rs. 20,000.

Alongside a fingerprint scanner at back and waterproof metallic body design, the mid-range smartphone Moto M sports a 5.5-inch full-HD screen mated on 1080×1920 pixels display resolution. It is powered by a 2.2GHz MediaTek Helio P15 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM alongside a massive 32GB of native storage that could be expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. The dual-SIM smartphone features hybrid SIM slot which means it supports a Micro-SIM or microSD card in the second SIM slot.

On the software front, the phone Moto M is listed to run on Android v6.0.1 Marshmallow OS and is said to be backed by a non-removable 3050mAh battery. In the optical part, the phone is packed with a 16-megapixel rear camera accompanying dual-LED flash, an f/2.0 aperture and PDAF together with an 8-megapixel front snapper for selfie and video chat. In the commercial listing, Motorola reveals the Moto M is enriched with a twofold layer of nano-coating which will shield it from the split, dribble and splashes.

The smartphone also comes featured with 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C (USB 3.1), NFC, and 3.5mm connectivity options.
