Following the trend, Motorola has recently launched its second gen smartphone of Moto E Series like it has done earlier with Moto G and Moto X Series.
The budget smartphone Moto E 2 from the company, boasts a higher quality of hardware as compared to the other phones in the same price range that comes with entry-level hardware installed in them. The device has been liked in almost all rural and urban regions of the country because of its features and hardware.
The Moto E 2nd generation phone boast a slightly larger display than its older model as it has a 4.5 inch IPS LCD. Meanwhile, the Moto E was featured with 4.3 inch qHD display.
On the photography front, the new device sports a front facing VGA camera that was earlier not found in the first generation device. Most of the Moto E (first gen) users reported earlier that whether if the company has given a front camera to the device it would be the ‘fully-featured small packet’. However, both of the phones carry same 5 megapixel of primary image snapper.
Unlike Moto E that runs on Android’s KitKat flavour, the newer device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop supported by the a same 1.2 GHz Quad Core Processor that is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The superb configuration enables the users to switch back and forth between their favourite apps without slowing down.
The smartphone is fueled with a gigantic and longer lasting 2390 mAh of battery that serves up to a whole day power backup on standard usage, however, the first gen device holds up the phone up to 14-16 hours of the similar usage as it has a 1980 mAh of battery. Moreover, the phone comes with 8 gigabytes of internal storage that can be expandable up to 32 GB, using a microSD card.
The curved design of the Moto E 2nd Gen makes it more comfortable to hold the phone in hand. In addition, the front facing speaker serves the music experience to a higher level. The water-repellant coating and Corning Gorilla Glass protect the phone from damage and the anti-smudge coating on the screen keeps the fingerprints away. It measures 64.8×124.8×12.3 mm in dimensions and weighs 142 g.
Sources suggest that it will soon get an OTA update by the company, which will improve the battery life of the device and remove previously found bugs by the developers.
The smartphone is available in four different variants; 3G/4G and Black/White in color at the e-commerce giant Flipkart for Indian consumers with a price tag of Rs. 6,999. However, the 4G variants are listed as N/A (mot available) on the website.
Also, Flipkart is currently offering free 500 MB 3G/2G data per month for 2 months in 3G/2G circles for Airtel prepaid and Bill discounts of INR 150 and INR 100 per month for 2 months on subscription of 3G and 2G data boosters of 500 MB and above in 3G and 2G circles respectively for Airtel postpaid.
