Microsoft has unveiled its latest budget smartphone, Lumia 532 in Indian smartphone market with a price tag of Rs. 6,499. It is available in white and black color variants. The silent unveiling came right after Samsung announced the new Galaxy Grand Max.
Last month, the device was announced globally alongside with Microsoft Lumia 435 and Microsoft Lumia 435 Dual SIM. The Lumia 532 also comes with its dual-SIM variant, named as Microsoft Lumia 532 Dual SIM and sports micoSIM card slots.
The smartphone runs on Windows Phone 8.1 OS that comes with Lumia Denim update out-of-the-box. The device comes pre-installed with several featured apps, including Here Maps, MixRadio, Microsoft’s Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote), Skype, Outlook, and OneDrive including up to 30GB of free OneDrive storage.
The Lumia 532 boasts a 4-inch WVGA LCD with 480×800 of resolution and a 5 megapixel of primary image shooter coupled with an onboard 0.3 megapixel of (VGA) front camera for video calling. The pre-installed Lumia Camera app makes the captured images clearer and sharper than a usual 5 megapixel camera found in the smartphones in the same price range.
Moreover, the smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal storage that has an expandability option up to 128 GB via a microSD card. It is fueled with a 1560mAh battery and company claims that the phone delivers up to 12 hours of talk time and 528 hours of standby time.
The Redmond giant has packed the Lumia 532 with ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and proximity sensors. The mobile phone measures 118.9×65.5×11.6 mm and weighs 136 grams.
Past this, last week, Microsoft also listed Lumia 435 Dual SIM and the Lumia 532 Dual SIM for at Rs. 5,999.
