One of the top smartphone vendors in India, Micromax unveiled its Canvas Mega 2 handset in the market with a price tag of Rs. 7,999.
Commenting on the launch Mr. Shubhajit Sen, Chief Marketing Officer, Micromax Informatics said, “With the launch of Canvas Mega 2, we will surely drive the value for money phablet category in the country by addressing major consumer pain points of better viewing experience and more productivity on-the-go at disruptive price points.”

The Micromax Canvas Mega 2 is a phablet, which flaunts 6-inch qHD (540x960pixels) display. In camera section, it features an 8-megapixel primary autofocus camera placed at the back and also a 5-megapixel of user-facing camera placed upfront.
Running on Android 5.0 Lollipop (out-of-the-box), the smartphone is supported by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor that comes coupled with 1GB of RAM. On storage front, it boasts an 8GB of built-in memory, which can be expandable up to 32GB by using a microSD card.
To fuel the handset with a large display, the manufacturer has packed it with a gigantic battery with rating 3000 mAH. Apart from the compatibility with 4G LTE bands in India, the Canvas Mega 2 supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, and 3G.
After launching the Canvas Mega 2, the company owns over 15 percent market share in the phablet segment in the country.
