The leading smartphone seller in India, Micromax, has announced its new budget smartphone Canvas Fire 4 that carries a price tag of Rs. 6,999. The company has announced that the device offers Android 5.0 Lollipop, out-of-the-box.
The smartphone boasts 1.3GHz quad-core processor, which is probably a MediaTek chipset coupled with a 1 GB of RAM that can support at most five average applications running simultaneously. It is featured with a 4.5-inch IPS display with 480 x 854 of resolution and Gorilla Glass 3. Moreover, it is fronted with a 2 megapixel of camera and carries a 8 megapixel of rear standard image snapper.
The device comes with a 8 gigabytes of internal storage with an expandability option up to 32 GB via a microSD card. Micromax has installed a 2000 mAh battery that according to company claims can provide a standby time of 300 hrs.
As far connectivity is concerned, the device boasts 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM Radio and a microUSB port as options.
Moreover, like HTC One M9, the Canvas Fire 4 is fronted with dual speakers and Cirrus Logic Wolfson Stereo DAC (WM8918) technology that offers a high-quality surround sound UX. At the launching event company’s spokesperson announced that the device comes pre-installed with apps like App Center, Clean Master, Dr. safety, Snapdeal, Saavn, Ask me, Chaatz, Paytm, Newshunt, Quickr, MAD, etc.
