The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi will soon roll out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Mi 4, Mi 4i, Mi Pad, Mi Note devices. The company’s MIUI Operations Manager revealed in a small blog post at Weibo that the handsets mentioned above will be the first one in the lineup to receive a Marshmallow update. In addition, the developers rolled out the softwares for the same to the beta tester.
The Xiaomi Mi4 and Mi Note was announced with running on Android 4.4 KitKat OS while, the company has later rolled out its Lollipop-based MIUI 7. Hence, the next update would be the second milestone update for the Mi5 handset. Meanwhile, it is assumed that the Mi Note, which is not been launched in India yet, will be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, out-of-the-box.
Moreover, the reason for delaying the launching of one of the most anticipated devices, the flagship Mi5 smartphone is assumed that Xiaomi might be planning to unveil the handset running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Also, the company’s CEO Lei Jun recently claimed that the handset was “worth the wait” and was “very, very good”.
