Lenovo on Wednesday launched its second smartphone of the month, Vibe X3 in India. The company has announced that the handset will go on sale via Amazon India on Thursday at 2:00 PM at a price of Rs. 19,999.
It’s noteworthy that Lenovo Vibe X3 has been launched almost two months after the smartphone has made its debut in China. The company has also unveiled a ‘Youth’ variant of the Vibe X3 smartphone, which is not up for sale yet. Earlier, Lenovo had launched the K4 Note in India with a price tag of Rs. 11,999.
The Lenovo Vibe X3 runs on a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor (consisting of a dual core A57 at 1.8GHz + quad-core A53 at 1.4GHz) bundled with 3GB of DDR3 RAM and Adreno 418 GPU. On the storage front, the handset sports 32GB inbuilt flash memory that could be expandable up yo 128GB by using a microSD card.
The smartphone features a 5.5-inch display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The company claims that the Vibe X3 display delivers 100 percent of colour reproduction, has 1500:1 contrast ratio, and features a 178-degree wide viewing angle. The hybrid dual-sim smartphone supports 4G LTE connectivity.
In the camera section, Vibe X3 sports a 21-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX230 sensor, LED flash, PDAF (phase detection autofocus), 6P Lens, f/2.0 aperture, and 4K video recording support. If you are photography obsessed, the smartphone is meant for you as it has special enhancement features such as the Pro Mode, Smart Assist, Slow Motion, and Nightscape. Lenovo has also provided with an 8-megapixel front facing camera.
The Vibe X3 is powered by a large 3500mAh battery, 100 mAh less than the Chinese variant. Apart from 4G LTE, other connectivity features of the handset includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, USB OTG and Micro USB.
The handset also includes an IR blaster, which can be paired up with the ‘Peel remote app’ that allows users to control their set-top-box, television set and other audio devices.
With the new Vibe UI, the smartphone performs lighter and faster and have features such as gesture controls, tap-to-wake, and flip to sleep. Lenovo has also provided a Wolfson-powered audio technology for calls, along with Hi-Fi Lenovo Sound with HD audio with two front-facing stereo speakers powered by Dolby Atmos tech.
The back panel of Lenovo Vibe X3 is build of high-quality thermosetting synthetic resin. The device measures 9.3 mm at the thickest and 3.4mm on the sides.
