Lenovo’s mid-range smartphone, A6000 was up for flash-sale, today on Flipkart, and went out of the stock in the nearly three seconds, company announced.
Earlier, a tweet came out from the official Twitter account of the company, stating that there have been approximately 200,000 registrations for the smartphone.
In a close competition, the A6000 beats Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and Micromax Yu Yureka that carries a price tag of Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 8,999 respectively.
Lenovo A6000 is featured with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display and 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash whereas a 2-megapixel front camera. The device boasts a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) clocked at 1.2GHz; with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Lenovo’s Vibe UI 2.0 skin on top. 8GB of built-in storage with no word on expendability; and a 2300mAh battery. The company has already promised Android 5.0 Lollipop update without revealing any time-frame. The dual-SIM smartphone supports Micro-SIM cards, measures 141x70x8.2mm and weighs 128 grams.
Lenovo has provided 8GB of built-in storage. However, the company didn’t shed a word on its expendability; and a 2300mAh battery. Yang Yuanqing, Lenovo CEO stated that the company will soon provide Android 5.0 Lollipop update to the consumers.
With the Band 3 and Band 40 (TDD-LTE) connectivity options the device can flawlessly sync through 4G networks in India.
Meanwhile its competitor, YU Yureka, the cheapest 4G smartphone with high tech-specs, runs on Cyanogen OS 11 based on Android KitKat 4.4.4 supported by 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615(64-Bit) Octa-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. For storage, company has provided 16 GB of internal memory expandable up to 32 GB.
The high-performance bar is featured with 5.5-inch (13.97 centimeters) 720×1280 IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It boasts 13MP primary camera with dual LED flash and 5MP front-facing camera and a 2500mAH battery.
In addition, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G runs Xiaomi’s MiUi interface based on Android 4.2 supported by a 1.6Ghz quad-core Qualcomm 400 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. It is featured with 13 MP of primary camera and 5 MP of front-facing camera.
