The domestic mobile phone maker, Lava International Limited has added a new smartphone, Lava Iris Atom 2 in the Atom series of entry-level smartphones portfolio, on Tuesday. The company has priced the handset at Rs. 4,949 and it will be available in two color variants, white and black at various e-commerce websites and local retail stores.
The company said that it has manufactured the handset by keeping in mind the requirements of a first time smartphone user. It has provided a large display panel to the smartphone in a reasonable price. It is featured with a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display with a stylish and slim body ‘with segment-leading features that deliver a great overall experience to the first time smartphone user.’
Running on Android 4.4 KitKat, out-of-the-box, which is upgradable to Android 5.1 Lollipop, the Lava Iris Atom 2 smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor, which is coupled with a 512 MB of RAM, that complements the processor and ensures a lag free experience. Additionally, the smartphone has an 8GB internal memory to store your favorite apps, music & videos and the same is further expandable up to 32GB by using a microSD card.
On the photography front, Lava has integrated to the device with a 5 megapixel of primary image shooting tool that is equipped with Largan lens and LED flash, and featured with panoramic capture modes and HDR feature which allows you to click pictures in High Definition. Meanwhile, the handset sports a VGA camera at its front.
The handset featuring smart gesture control offers Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, GPS, and Bluetooth as connectivity options and it is fueled with a 1750 mAh of battery that offers enhanced standby support.
